On the surface the Thames offers the viewer a splendid sunset. It divides the city as a ribbon of rippled light. But the Thames ebs and flows and when the tide is out the river narrows leaving its banks exposed. This reveals the detritus of civilisations. For centuries the natural life span of many objects has concluded in the mud of the river. Here we see the patterns and compositions in the mud and how the objects begin to intgerated into that mud.
